Midsummer Check-In

My how times flies.  I can't believe the children are already well into their second month of Montessori summer school.  The month of June was one of the busiest I've had in a long time.  I plan to start school with the gang in mid-August.  This will give us a chance to review the basics in our Montessori environment before adding Classical Conversations to the mix in September.  Needles to say, I have a lot to tackle in the next six weeks.

Goodies from my parent practicum as well as my planning binder that's about to get a mini overhaul.

Last week I managed to prepare a lengthy list of posts that I want to share with you.  A number of them cover events that have already occurred such as why we are choosing to add Classical Conversations and my experience at the Parent Practicum.  I also intend to include you in my full planning process.  I managed to scratch out the details in a notebook but now those ideas need to be transcribed digitally.  I also have some musing about the Montessori Method in general that I'm ready to vet.

I'm excited that I have finally setup a website for hosting files.  I've been longing to share some of the items I create.  Now I can do so.  If you recently noticed that the blog was down for a day or two, well, that's why!   I also have a Grace and Green Pastures email address now.  If you'd like to contact me, I can be reached at Bess AT graceandgreenpastures.com.  Feel free to drop me a note, question or suggestion.

I hope everyone has had a lovely summer so far.

    1. Wow! How exciting to find someone on a similar path. The similarities are rather uncanny. I found your blog and am excited to follow your adventures as well.

I really enjoyed practicum. My husband was only able to attend one day with me and it helped him gain a better perspective of the program. I was surprised at how like-minded the attendees were. I hope you enjoy it!
